Denise Kolakowski, Poison Control Educator 

Denise Kolakowski is the Poison Center Educator at the MiPDC. Drawing on her extensive background as a healthcare professional and vocational educator, as well as her experience in various roles at the MiPDC, including call center staff, she delivers evidence-based educational programming on poison prevention throughout Michigan. Denise is a nationally certified Community Health Education Specialist (CHES®) and is currently completing an MS in Community Health at Wayne State University. Outside of her work at the MiPDC, she is a lifelong learner with a passion for historical research, music, culinary exploration, and spending quality time with her family.
