MiPDC Coalition for Poison Prevention

The MiPDC Coalition for Poison Prevention is an outreach extension providing a platform for community partners who impact public safety and health in the areas they serve.

We welcome participation from human interest agencies and other organizations serving the well-being of all people living in the state of Michigan. We participate in the Michigan Prevention Network and focus on collaboration in poison prevention initiatives including substance use disorders and prevention.

  • Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network

    The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network is compassionate and committed to the 122,000 children and adults it serves in Detroit and Wayne County. We understand the immense responsibility we have been given and we go above and beyond in supporting the people we serve and the hundreds of Providers in our System of Care.

  • Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency

    OLHSA supports Oakland and Livingston County residents that are looking for assistance in removing the burdens of poverty. We provide individually tailored, wrap-around assistance for all individuals and families in need of help.

  • Healthy Grosse Pointes & Harper Woods

    The mission of Healthy Grosse Pointe/Harper Woods Coaliton is to prevent substance misuse and promote mental health through action, education, and collaboration.

  • Overdose Rescue Training with Americorps

    Overdose Rescue Trainers host Overdose Rescue Training sessions that are open to the public, and they also offer training sessions for private groups and organizations. Private training sessions are currently offered via Zoom or in-person at a location that is convenient for your group. We continue to host weekly public overdose rescue training sessions via Zoom.

  • Overdose Rescue Kits

    In partnership with Emergent Biosolutions and the State of Michigan the MiPDC Coalition for Poison Prevention offers no cost rescue kits by request. Each kit contains instructions and links to online training from the manufacturer.

Partnership for Poison Prevention Education

Schools, local health departments, community action agencies, tribal health services, and other human service agencies located in the state of Michigan are invited to collaborate with the MiPDC to provide Poison Prevention Education services in the communities they serve.
