My five years at Michigan Poison Center have immersed me in the exciting, fast paced environment of toxicology. I take a lot of pride in the fact that I can directly interact and help resolve acute patient issues. Each case is unique, interesting, and presents its own challenge. This position also allows us poison specialists to 'think outside the box' and gives us the opportunity to brainstorm new patient management and treatment approaches. We are constantly learning every day! It is a rewarding feeling when we are contacted by grateful patients and healthcare professionals. Having worked as a physician for years, I enjoy learning about the many interesting aspects of Internal Medicine.
When I am not in the Poison Center, I enjoy reading, swimming, hiking, gardening, exploring new countries and their cultures!
